Not a Painting
I found this photograph in the local paper a few weeks ago. It is a sad tale, with a terrible beauty. I thought it was a painting, a collage, an installation. I was shocked to find it was 'real':
It really does look like a painting. Sobering to think, only a fine line separates us from tragedy or disaster. All the more reason to appreciate the 'good times'.

A beautiful, almost surreal illustration of the impact of natural disasters on the lives of those caught up within it.
It has a certain tranquility about it and the face of acceptance.

It could have been any of those things. Reality is often shocking and beautiful at the same time.
